Renewable and non-renewable power capacity additions, 2001-2015

IRENA recently published its Rethinking Energy 2017 report. As shown in the report: “Since 2012, renewable power capacity installations have exceeded non-renewables by a rising margin . In 2015, renewable power capacity represented 61% of all new power generating capacity added worldwide.”
